About the shoot:
For Claire’s model shoot we wanted to do something raw and organic feeling so we decided to do beauty shots 3 different ways to show off all the different sides of beauty photography. Outfits and lighting change but the feeling of realism is the common theme. We are breaking those stereotypes of stiff portraiture and creating a pretty picture that is relaxed.
About the model:
Craziest childhood memory:
My craziest childhood memory was definitely the time when I tried guacamole flavored ice cream! I was at “grandma camp” with my older sister and our cousin, and my grandpa treated us to a ice cream night at a local shop in downtown Hartford, Wisconsin. Being that I was a show off fourth grader, when I saw the crazy flavor section under their counter, I had to inspect my options. I saw the flavor guacamole and I instantly knew my friends would be “so jealous” of me for trying something so crazy. I ordered a scoop, realized I hated it, and sadly had to finish the whole thing because my grandpa paid for it. Let’s just say I still can’t eat guacamole to this day.
Thing I’m most excited for senior year:
The thing I’m most excited about for senior year is all of the lasts I get to experience and being the top dog in my school. Senior year is the last opportunity to go to a highschool football game as a student in the student section, dance with friends at homecoming, and play high school sports. Though the realization that these will be lasts is kind of scary, it will also make them more fun and special with friends and those I’ve spent the last 4 years with. Also seeing the scared, worried freshman will be slightly amusing the first couple weeks.
My dream is:
My dream is to do all the basic stuff like graduate college in my desired field, have a family, and live somewhere warmer than Wisconsin. However, I also dream of having more opportunities to travel and experience the world and the different cultures and traditions of those in different countries. I hope to spread positivity and help those in need in places less fortunate than us by possibly traveling on mission trips or with the Peace Core for a summer. I know this would make me very happy to help others and make a difference while seeing the world.
I’m happiest when:
I’m happiest when I make other people smile or something I do brightens someone’s day. I know this is cliche and cheesy but making others happy genuinely heightens my mood and pushes me to continue spreading positivity and joy. I’m also pretty happy though when I have some cookie dough, but that’s not as philosophical.
Next bucket list item I’m going to attempt:
The next bucket list item I’m going to try and attempt is possibly going skydiving, because you can finally do it when your 18!! Only a couple more months until it’s a possibility….
Scariest thing I ever did:
The scariest thing I’ve ever done is go to the Burial Chambers Haunted Houses with a group of friends, that even though is probably very amateur, I still managed to freak myself out being second in line. I think we all even paid my friend some money to be the leader and go first in our canga line of terrified teenagers. Monsters love scaring teenage girls, our screams help their credibility.
One word people use to describe me:
One word people use to describe me is thoughtful. I always put others before myself, even when sometimes I shouldn’t, and put other people’s needs before my own. My dad always told me I’d be a great nurse, but I’ve never been a fan of blood sooo that’s out of the question. However, I would like to spread kindness and love with others and continue impacting the world for the better, whether it’s in my future career or a hobby on the side, and caring for others to ensure they are living their best life.
Why I choose Resolution:
I chose Resolution for my senior pictures mainly because my sister went through them and her pictures turned out AMAZING. They really captured her natural beauty and gave her the opportunity to take stunning pictures in really fun locations! She had only kind things to say about CJ and Jilane, who as a team, really encouraged her to try new things and enhance her natural features. I can’t wait to continue shooting with them, and I know I will be so happy with the final results 🙂
